JIGG Kanagawa Boardgames Club a Little History
JIGG stands for Japan`s International Gamers Guild and it was cofounded by Steve Brown, better known as STAN! and myself, Kevin Burns back in about 1992.
Steve was starting a roleplaying games club and I was starting a club for wargames. We joined forces, but Steve was by far the driving force, putting out a well-loved Zine and generally getting things together.
I regularly hosted events in Minamiashigarashi, and people would come from all over Japan and stay the weekend and play games. It was fun! Good memories!
These days:
We meet in various places including: Shinyurigaoka, Kawasaki, and the Odawara area.
Do you like to play boardgames? Do you live in or can you come to Kanagawa?
Get in on the game!
We play boardgames of all kinds. New members always welcome! Membership is free!
We speak Japanese and English! Come if you love to play board games, wargames, role playing games or strategy games. Traditional games like chess are also played.
We also play: table top wargames, RPG style boardgames, card games and even poker!
